Few Things, Endless Discoveries

Dubai Design Week 2025 at d3: Dates, Hours, Access

Dubai Design Week officially runs from Tuesday, 4 November 2025 to Sunday, 9 November 2025 at Dubai Design District (d3), with daily hours 10:00–22:00 (children/family-friendly, suitable for couples, solo). Daily hours are 10:00–22:00.

Most of the outdoor installations, exhibitions and talks across d3 are free to enter, while certain workshops require prior registration and a paid seat (solo, couples). Many activities are free.

Downtown Design, the anchor fair on the d3 Waterfront, is scheduled from Wednesday, 5 November 2025 to Sunday, 9 November 2025; public tickets are approximately AED 80 for a single day or AED 150 for a four-day pass (solo, couples). Ticket prices are approximate.

Venue details and contacts: Dubai Design District (d3), Business Bay, Dubai. General inquiries: +971 4 433 3000 or 800-IAMD3 (42633). Dubai Design Week office: +971 4 563 1432 (children/family-friendly public areas). Keep the numbers handy.

Getting there by public transport: the closest Metro stop is Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa on the Red Line, with an RTA shuttle bus operating between the station and d3 during event hours (solo, couples, families). Metro plus shuttle is the simplest option.

Driving: expect busy approaches around Business Bay in late afternoon; paid district parking is available but fills quickly during peak hours, and on-street spaces near Waterfront Terrace can be tight (solo, corporate). Parking capacity is limited.

From Abu Dhabi, plan approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes via E11 depending on traffic; from Sharjah or Ajman, allow 45–75 minutes, and consider parking near a Red Line station to continue by Metro if congestion builds (solo, couples). Start early from other Emirates.

Week programming includes large-scale outdoor commissions, the UAE Designer Exhibition, open studios and daily talks that run into the evening; check workshop seats in advance and build in time for the waterfront installations (children/family-friendly). Registration may be required.

Food and coffee options are scattered across d3’s internal streets and waterfront; most outlets accept cards only and stay open into late evening during the festival (families, couples, solo). Bring a card for cashless payments.

Weather overview for the festival weekend (Friday, 7 November 2025 to Sunday, 9 November 2025): daytime highs ranged around 31–33°C with warm evenings near 23°C; plan shade breaks and hydration (children/family-friendly). Heat exposure is the main risk.

If you’re scheduling meetings at the fair, aim for late morning or early afternoon when footfall is steadier, then return after sunset for outdoor installations under lights (solo, couples). Arrive before 11:00 to avoid morning queues.
